Welcome to the Computers Class at Glenview Middle School.

Computers is one of four exploratory classes that fifth and six grade students have at Glenview.

These exploratory classes last 9 weeks (1 quarter) and allow students to “explore” topics and skills that they might not encounter in some of their other classes.

Here you will find links to other web sites that we might use in class.

Important reminder for students: You are responsible for making arrangements to take care of make up work. If you miss class, or don’t finish an assignment during class time, it is up to YOU to either come in to the classroom outside of regular classtime, or do the assignment at home or in another classroom, using this website and other software.

KEYBOARDING

We use Mavis Beacon for most of our keyboarding instruction.
Minimum suggested competencies:
5th grade => 15-20 WPM with 95% accuracy
6th grade => 20-25 WPM with 95% accuracy
